About the Convention

Accelerating Quality Improvement for Patient-Centered, Safe, and Equitable Health Services in Bangladesh

Following the momentum of healthcare Quality Improvement (QI) initiatives in the country and the success of the inaugral convention in August 2025 that gathered 250+ delegates, the Institute for Healthcare Improvement (IHI) is convening the Bangladesh Quality Improvement (QI) Convention 2026 this December.

Bangladesh has made significant strides in healthcare Quality of Care, yet sustainable progress requires an integrated learning health system uniting professionals, policymakers, and private-sector leaders. Led by the Institute for Healthcare Improvement (IHI), the 2026 Bangladesh QI Convention aims to focus on embedding Quality Improvement across service delivery, patient and medication safety, and human-centered care environments. Elevating this initiative into a high-level strategic congregation calls for the vision of a national public-private partnership to foster healthcare innovation, share best practices and knowledge for growth and improvement rather than reinvent the wheel, and shape policies into practical implementations.

The Bangladesh QI Convention 2026 is not merely an event, it is a national movement toward safer, smarter, and more equitable healthcare.
